The Datatrend Technology Solution Center presents today’s servers, storage systems, middleware offerings, network cabling infrastructure and virtualization capabilities in a working environment, capable of testing and development for client environments.
As an IBM Business Partner Innovation Center (BPIC), the pre- and post-sales support offered at the Datatrend center includes product demonstrations and test drives, solution design consultation, proof-of-concept support, product installation and implementation assistance, training, education, and customized workshops. The facilities are also equipped with ample office space for visiting clients and partner teams to support longer term benchmarks, evaluations, and other projects.
Datatrend has experience working with customers from a wide range of industries, including banking & financial services, health care, life sciences, manufacturing, retail, and travel & hospitality.
From a technology standpoint, the Datatrend BPIC includes a wide-range of equipment and software including AIX (5.3 and earlier), Linux, and Windows operating environments, storage technologies, server and storage virtualization, data retention appliances and software, and middleware application-hosting capabilities. Some of the most recent technology acquisitions include IBM POWER5 servers, IBM TotalStorage DR550 Data Retention appliance, IBM BladeCenter, and IBM TotalStorage DS8300 technologies.
