Step 2: Review documentation and resources
To discover all the great Linux resources IBM has to offer, everything from development and marketing assistance to incentives and sales resources, you can also leverage the
Linux how-to roadmaps for a phased approach to finding resources on developing, porting, migrating, marketing, and selling your applications. For further skills building opportunities, see Linux education and events for Business Partners.

To facilitate your migration to Linux on POWER, IBM has developed a library of technical resources for reference. Some of the topics covered include Learn about Linux on POWER, get started, develop/integrate solutions and optimize performance. If you're looking for guidance on Linux courses you should take, view IBM's Linux, UNIX, Open Source training path.

In addition to reference material, IBM developerWorks provides Linux on POWER downloads of popular open source and commercial developer tools designed to accelerate the task of developing applications for Linux on POWER. The toolkit includes evaluation versions of enterprise middleware for Linux on POWER. Tivoli management tools, WebSphere Application Server, DB2, VisualAge Compilers and more are available for trial.

Step 3: Take a TestDrive
The
IBM Linux Test Drive Center offers an array of hardware and environments for remote development. Any PartnerWorld member can gain access to either a shared or dedicated development environment via VPN protected secure shell sessions. In addition to hardware and software access, the TestDrive Center provides electronic Q&A, voice, email, and forum support. However, the TestDrive Center is not intended for benchmarks, sizings, customer engagements or demonstrations.

IBM also offers more hardware access options for further development and testing purposes.
