Authorized portfolio initiative

Key points about Authorized products:

  1. Entry requires enrollment and approval to participate in Software Value Incentive and/or Value Advantage Plus.
  2. Authorization to resell is granted at the Reseller Authorization group level and not the brand level. Since approval for SVI and Value Advantage Plus is currently granted at the brand level, modifications to the SVI and Value Advantage Plus programs are forthcoming.
  3. Minimum revenue participation levels in SVI and/or Value Advantage Plus must be met after the first year; 0-10% of the total revenue (license and renewal) must pass through SVI and/or Value Advantage Plus; percentages may vary based on geography and country.
  4. You will be required to enroll through your PartnerWorld profile and accept the IBM Business Partner Agreement for Remarketers of Authorized Programs.
    • Sign in with IBM ID (user ID) and password;
    • Click on "Benefits and relationships" (left navigation menu);
    • Click on "Software Reseller Authorization";
    • Click on "Country Enterprise to Apply for Software Reseller Authorization"
  5. Business Partners in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) are required to provide additional information to complete the Business Partner Agreement (BPA) for Software (SW) Remarketers of Authorised Programs application. To do so, please visit the PartnerPlan website, select "Education/Aids/Tools" from the left navigation menu, and click on 'Additional Information required to support your BPA for SW Remarketers of Authorised Programs application' under the "Planning Aids" section in the center of the page. Complete and save this form to your PartnerPlan under the 'Name and Address' tab before agreeing to the authorisation terms. Your BPA for SW Remarketers of Authorised Programs application will be rejected if these details have not been supplied.

  • Check your readiness status with your Value Added Distributor or Business Partner sales representative.
  • Not currently participating in SVI or Value Advantage Plus? Apply now for SVI and/or Value Advantage Plus!
  • Participating in SVI? Check your certifications against the authorized distribution Reseller Authorization groups listed under the "Criteria" tab to access your eligibility for authorized distribution.
  • Participating in Value Advantage Plus? Cross check the IBM software products in your business solution against authorized distribution Reseller Authorization groups listed under the "Criteria" tab to assess your eligibility for authorized distribution.
