PartnerWorld Profiling System application overview

Overview

The PartnerWorld Profiling System (PPS) is the online system that helps you maintain and support your IBM® PartnerWorld® relationships. The system lets you view and update your PartnerWorld profile, including Worldwide enterprise, Country enterprise(s), Location(s) and Employee(s). PPS is also the central area to access information on agreements, benefits and relationships with IBM.

Changes you make in PPS will be fed to other IBM PartnerWorld applications, such as Business Partner Connections and the Global Partner Portal. PPS is the single source reflecting your relationships and entitlements with IBM, and is used by other IBM Business Partner applications to validate your company's authorization.

PPS works in a hierarchy with the following logic:

PPS is the single source for all your company profiles updates. This system is a valuable resource that can be referenced by a variety of key stakeholders at your company including, the Primary Relationship Contact (PRC), Authorized Profile Administrator (APA) and other individual employees.

As you proceed through this guide, you will learn how to create, view and edit your company's Worldwide and Country enterprises, locations and employees profiles. Depending upon your role or the role assigned to you, you may be able to execute different functions, such as view only, or update profiles, including your own profile in PPS.

An example would be if you select a Country enterprise, you will be able to select the Worldwide enterprise link from the left navigation bar. However if you select a Country enterprise, you must then select list the Country enterprise employees and then select the employee list to move to a specific employee.
  • Your IBM ID and password are intended to uniquely identify you as you enter the system, allowing IBM to customize and personalize the PartnerWorld experience just for you. This also ensures that only those properly authorized to do so can gain access to other Business Partner applications, the PartnerWorld Web site and profile. Therefore, please do not share your IBM ID or password with others.
